Happy Birthday to my Big Sister!!

This weekend I was able to spend some special time with my mom and sisters. It is rare we are all together on one of our birthdays, we tend to celebrate a couple of months early or late :)  I just wish my SIL in was in town to make it a complete girls weekend. Next year!!

The 4 of us did make it out for a birthday lunch on Saturday then we had a family get together on Sunday before she headed back to Florida. 

I was sitting here thinking of my big sister and all the fun we had growing up. We had the typical sibling fights but we did have fun!! Growing up we did gymnastics in the front yard, swimming all day in the backyard, rode bikes all around the neighborhood, played kickball in the street. I don't remember ever slowing down to watch TV. We were always on the go, making up games to play until the sun went down. As we got older the games turned into driving lessons,  shopping trips, doing hair and make-up and playing on the tennis team together. Then she was off to college and I was off to college.....then time really started going by fast. Now we only get to see to see each other a few times a year :(  She is married to an amazing artist in Florida (if you stand next to the sculptures at amusement parks--he makes those).  They have the cutest little puppies and get to enjoy that beautiful Florida life everyday!!

She is also the best aunt to all 10 of her nieces and nephews!! They all look forward to her coming up for some special Aunt time!! Not that she spoils them or anything :)
