Happy Birthday Eric

Today I am celebrating my sweet husband.....Happy 39th birthday Eric!! I am looking forward to our last year as a thirty something couple :)

How it began...

It all began at a small college located in beautiful SUNNY Florida. For two years I attended that school but had not met the one until that fall day at the beginning of my junior year. I was back at school early preparing for welcome week (orientation for all the freshman and transfers). There were only a few other groups of students with us--athletes, RA's, etc... That is when I met him, sitting at the table with all the soccer players. I can still picture it. He had these blonde long curls and blue eyes. That night I went home and sent a letter to a good friend of mine. At the bottom of the letter I told her I met a guy on campus and this may be the one. Three years later at my wedding she handed me back that letter.

We were so in love. We decided we would go where ever God opened the doors for us. We both knew we did not want to stay in South Florida. As much as we loved the West Palm Beach area it was time for us to leave the college life behind. Eric's best man was living up in NC, so off we went. Well actually he came up here first, found us an apartment, secured a job, I put in my transfer, and we were off. I tell him all the time how in love I am in with him to have left my family, friends, and Florida behind.

                  19 years together, 16 years living up here in NC, 5 kids, 2 dogs....our sweet life.
 From the sleep deprived nights to the crazy soccer schedule I would not want to have anyone else beside me.
