January Updates

Hello January, you have been very busy!

J and L head back to school today after having 5 1/2 weeks off for winter break. It is going to be quiet around here.
C survived his exams for his first semester!

The boys played in a 4v4 to help raise money for breast cancer.

This picture just makes me laugh!
This is the text I get from C, I just love this boy and his concern for the girls having to hang out at school after exams. (just a note--C does not drive yet but I love that he offered to drive them home)
Donut time with my boys!

A is spending her days playing with all her new princess toys and watching Frozen.

M is all about sports right now. He loves his football helmets, basketball hoop, and soccer goal.

We had some beautiful 60 degree days this month! Yay for warmer winter days!

Baptism

On January 18th my sweet L was baptized at our church. What a special, special day! We all headed up to church early to get good seats. Eric headed back with L to meet with the pastor and to get ready. The boys, twins, my parents, and our sweet friends all watched from our pews.

Birthday Celebrations

We started the big weekend off with J and I spending the afternoon together shopping then ended with dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with my parents. It was such a sweet time. We laughed a lot, he walked away with a new sweater and running shoes, and even helped me pick out some new curtains for the family room.
For dinner he had a yummy chicken parmesan sandwich! For dessert he could not decide which cheesecake to go with so we ended up with the ultimate oreo and red velvet!!  Both were so good.

Saturday it was a morning of futsal then out to eat with Eric. This time they went for the ribs, chicken, and fries. After coming home for a quick break they were out the door again to see the movie Mockingjay.
Sunday was a special day. That morning we took a break from celebrating J's special birthday weekend it was all about L getting baptized.
That afternoon J had two scrimmages then we had a few families over to watch some football. Pizza, a great football game, and more soccer in the backyard!

Finally Monday was the big day. When J woke up he was officially a teenager.
We celebrated with his favorite breakfast- M&M pancakes with sausage and eggs.

Lunch- my sister, her kids, and my parents came over. While they were here J opened his big gift. An ipad.  I think we really surprised him, he had no idea!

Dinner we had Outback take-out and the boys all watched a movie together.
It was such a special weekend, hard to believe we now have another teenager in the house.
J- we are so proud of the gentleman you are becoming! We love you!
