It takes a village

I was asked the other night how we manage with 5 kids, this past week was definitely one of those weekends it all because of our family and sweet friends! Seriously, I am so thankful for our amazing support system. We had 5 soccer games, soccer tryouts, soccer pictures, a birthday party, Saturday school, one soccer training session, and a play date for A with some little girls. It didn't help that the soccer games were in 3 different cities all over the state of NC and Eric would be gone.

Friday night
Eric and J headed off to Charlotte for the weekend.
My sister came over to help babysit the twins with C while I went to work the registration table at L's soccer tryout.
That night my sister took C back to my parents house to spend the night.

Saturday
My dad heads off to Greensboro with C for his soccer game.
I sent L off to Saturday school and went to do some shopping with the twins.
Our afternoon schedule I had to print up..
3:00 drop L off for his game
3:30 drop A off for her play date
4:00 L's soccer game.
5:00 L heads off to dinner with his soccer buddy between his soccer games
5:30 Meet my sisters half way to pick up C
6:00 Pick up A
6:15 drop off C and the twins. (quick dinner, diaper change, pjs, leave C to babysit)
7:00 Watch L's last game
8:15 Convince the big boys 8:15 is not too early for everyone to go to bed :)

Sunday
Eric watches J's 8:00 am in Charlotte before heading to Greensboro for C's 11:00 game.
My parents come over for lunch
12:00 head to L's soccer game with my dad while my mom watches the twins
1:45 send L off with another soccer buddy to the birthday party
2:30 the big boys all make it home (yay)
3:30 head off for some Mother's Day shopping for our moms
4:30 pick up L from birthday party
5:30 family time--dinner and outside play time
7:30 start bedtimes. C heads off for his soccer training.
10:00 be thankful the weekend is over so we can relax on Monday morning!!

Looking at this crazy weekend I think it is so hard having 5 kids and being everywhere at once but then I think about the memories they made. Eric and J had their one on one time together. Friday night C had time out with his aunt. On Saturday he was able to spend the day with my dad. He scored a goal in his game (which he tends to do only when my dad is around). They drove the convertible home from the game and enjoyed the beautiful NC day. That afternoon he went to watch his 4 year old cousin perform in her first ballet recital. L had some much needed one on one time with me :) We watched the Avengers movie, I was even able to go to two of his games babies free! He also had a great time hanging out with his friends between games and attending his first laser tag party. Exhausting, yes..all the kids full of smiles, so worth it!
