A poem for my dad (Grangran) by J--part 2

Grangran

You are the best grandfather I could ever ask for,

I couldn’t possibly imagine wanting more,

I’m lucky that you’ve strived,

To give me such a happy life.

Today you get to stop working and rest,

And celebrate knowing you’re the best,

Yes you are,

Everybody knows that from here to afar.

You can make your grandchildren say hooray,

And you also love UK,

You’ve taught me many things over the years,

Now today just stop and say cheers.

I could make this poem so much longer,

And I would take up a TON of paper,

But without a doubt,

You’re the best grandfather ever J

Happy Birthday Dad!--part 1

Week 4

It is a snow day for the family- YAY!! I finally have time to slow down and catch up on my blog. This past week we have been going and going. It is so nice to sit by the fire and look outside at all the beautiful snow. I will enjoy it today then pray it will be gone by tomorrow so we can get back to normal again! This summer girl is counting down to the warmer days!!

This past weekend spring soccer games started for C and J. It worked out for us that the boys played right after each other on the same field :) Normally we are on opposite sides of the county at the exact same time! Both boys started their season with a win-yay boys!

L is finishing up with his futsal games on Saturday and indoor games on Sunday. This past weekend the twins and I went to cheer him on. They loved seeing him run by the glass. A was trying so hard to get out of her stroller so she could go play with him.

I love this picture of my 5!! How sweet are they!! This was before the 2 outdoor and 1 indoor games. The twins were all smiles to go cheer on their brothers.

Eric and I are all into our fitbits. It is great with tracking our sleep or lack of right now. For the most part it is pretty accurate with the exact times we wake up with one of the twins.

I just finished updating our wall calendar for the next month, now I am going to enjoy the snow and playtime with the kids!!

Hope everyone is staying warm and enjoys this beautiful snow day (or for my Florida friends that Florida sunshine!!!)

Week 3

It is so nice to have everyone back under one roof again, at least for the next 10 days.

* Eric and L had a great trip down to Florida. L did get down to Florida and started not feeling well. After a quick trip to the minute clinic and a few tests they ruled out the flu-yay! He did have an ear infection. After a couple days on medicine he was back to normal.

*The weather this winter has been crazy. Yesterday the boys were out back in their shorts playing soccer by 7:00 that night the snow came in. (They were still in their shorts:)

*This boy is always smiling!

*Someone loves her new chair, Mommy loves the great deal we got at Target.

*All the boys are back to school today. Only 9 1/2 weeks until the next break and thes sweet boys get another break!!

L's Soccer Trip to Disney!

After months of waiting, well actually years it was time for L to head down to play in the 3v3 tournament at the ESPN Worldwide of Sports Complex. To say he was excited is an understatement.
The planning for this trip started before L was ever playing on a soccer team!! When Eric started playing in the men's soccer league he met another guy with a son the same age as L. Those two hit it off.  L and his son have grown up together watching their dads on the soccer field. The boys have gone all over NC and down to Charleston to watch their dads and now it was finally their turn.

The boys did a great job. After the finishing in the top group on Saturday they were placed in the gold bracket for Sundays games. On Sunday they pulled out the wildcard to advance to the quarterfinals to play against the defending champs. The boys fought hard and did not make it an easy game for the Texas Elite team. The boys lost 4-5 but were thrilled they were able to hang in there. The first thing L said was he scored on the defending champions and can he go back next year. The new countdown is on for Disney 2015!!
Age 3, L and T do soccer warm-ups in the bouncy house!!
Age 9, L and T Ready to play!!
