My goal each year is to be finished with everything by Thanksgiving weekend, this year I was a few days behind. Last night we had our first family Christmas night- Eric and C went to pick up our tree, we watched Elf, and enjoyed family time decorating the tree.
I just love having the rest of the month to enjoy the season. Time that is not spent searching for that last minute gift and waiting in line. Eric on the other hand says it is not Christmas time unless you are shopping the weekend before. Glad someone in our family likes to do it. I will be sitting by the fire reading Christmas books and sipping my hot cocoa with the kids!

Your Christmas decorations are beautiful! I, too, like to start early and finish early. I love having free time to enjoy this special time of the year being available at a moment's notice for lots of fun. I also love sitting in the dark watching the Christmas lights. Being present.
