Midweek Randoms

1. In one week and a day (not that anyone is counting in this house) my sweet L will be turning 9. He is so excited to get together with his soccer buddies for an afternoon of soccer and football at the indoor field near our house. For 3 weeks we went back and forth on what he wanted to do for his birthday. He really wanted a sleepover with some of his friends but with the twins not always sleeping well, soccer schedules, and a full house we are going to have to skip having additional boys in the house this year!!

2.  I am addicted to scholastic! Yes I admit it, I loved ordering books when I was in school and now I  get just as excited as the boys when their book orders come home. L's school just finished having their book fair, he loves that is right around his birthday because he knows I always add in extra money. J's book fair is next month. C and I are into sharing the same books now, well he does not like my Nicholas Sparks books but we do find series for both of us. A few years ago we started to read the I am number 4 series (before the movie came out). I just picked up the latest book, it is a boys book (defend the world, etc...) but it is nice to have something to read in common with him.

3. I am going to miss these days...the twins loved playing in their little pool and with their water table! I am not ready to put it away yet, hopefully we will continue with our warmer days for another month :)

4.  These 2 love their books too. We have to read the same 4 books every night (Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see; Bedtime Peekaboo; You are My Sunshine; Goodnight, I love you)! I love that the twins will run over to their chairs and just wait for our story time. They also started looking at the books during the day, it is so cute to see them sitting there babbling away to each other.

5.  So it is just me or is it sad that I need to schedule time with my sweet husband to go over our schedule for the next day/week. Trying to keep up with all 5 just got a lot crazier now that soccer, school, and youth group are going on. Thankfully we have some great carpools and my parents close by to help watch the twins so they are not dragged out a few times a day!!

  2. Scholastic still exists? I used to LOVE that in elementary school way back in the day. I remember being able to order 1 book from the catalog each year ha!
