Midweek Randoms

1. Everyone is finally home under one roof, at least until the end of the month. L had the best time at his 3v3 soccer tournament in Charlotte. He was so excited to FINALLY have his weekend away with just dad :) The team played great. They took home 3rd place in the U10 age group (his team is all U9)-YAY!! This smile says it all!!! I just love this boy.  Next stop for his team-Disney in January.

2.  J is loving middle school. I think he really likes it because we let him take his phone. The little things that make them feel older.  He had no problem catching up after missing the first 3 days. He has the best attitude. He was thrown into a new school with only knowing 2 girls and he has adjusted great. He likes all of his teachers, he has met some new friends, and still gets to see his neighborhood buddies on the bus.

3. I am loving L's teacher!!! She is so sweet and has already called our house twice just to let us know how well L is adjusting. I admire those teachers who take the extra time away from school to encourage the parents just as much as the kids! When L comes home talking nonstop about his day you know it is going to be a great year! L was most excited about the book she read them, How Full is Your Bucket. We would read this book to our Sunday School. It is one of the best books for kids. She is using this book to teach all the kids to make sure they are filling each others bucket every day. L has come home several times telling us how someone filled his bucket or that he was able to fill his teachers bucket!

4. C made the JV soccer team at school!!! We are so proud of him and all the hard work he has put in with summer conditioning. This week they are busy preparing for their soccer jamboree with 7:00 am practices. It is not so bad since everyone in the house is already up :)  We are looking forward to cheering him on at his first game this Friday. Go Huskies!!  My freshman!!
5. The twins favorite toy right now is this pig! They will sit there together and put the coins in and take them out over and over again! Well they will keep going until someone shuts the door on someone's hand, then the tears start. If I need to get anything done in the house I know I can grab the pig and I will not have to worry about them moving. I love those type of toys.
