First Date of the year

This year Eric and I started the year off with a special date on New Years Day. It was the sweetest surprise. Twenty years ago when I went to visit Eric in DC he took me ice skating. We had been talking about how special that was. I was so surprised when I found out we were going ice skating outside. It was so much fun. We laughed so hard and neither of us fell!! After ice skating we had a nice dinner at one of the downtown restaurants.  We had planned to use some of the gift cards from Christmas however all the stores had closed early except for Barnes and Nobles. We ended our romantic evening enjoying some quiet time at B&N, 20 years later and still having fun!

Word of the year

In 2014 our family word was Achieve.
In 2015 our family word was Together.

This year everyone picked a word then we had a family vote..
