Snow Day-Take 3

Here we go again, the kids made it to school on Monday before having another 4 days off this week. 8 1/2 days off over the past 2 weeks-I hope they are really enjoying this winter break, the make-ups days are not going to be fun.

We did get a beautiful snow fall, 6 inches. We ended up losing power but thankfully it would flicker on long enough for us to heat the house and make coffee before it was out again.

The kids were ready bright and early to head out. There was snow fights, building a snowman, soccer in the snow, we made snow cream, and had sweet family time.

 Joshua was the last one in, this boy hates sitting around and is always going. Everyone had gone in for the day so he decided he would shovel the sidewalk for the sweet ladies who walk their dogs by our house and then headed down to clear the driveway of an older couple.

We ended the night with family time watching America's Funniest Videos. Except for Caleb, he was off to spend the night with a friend.

I just love the unexpected snow days, especially ones with beautiful snow! I am however over it, once a year is good now bring on spring and summer!!!

Surprise Snow

On Tuesday we had a surprise snow fall. We were heading out the door to take Caleb to the bus stop when they cancelled school. Within a few hours the snow came down, it wasn't much but it was pretty and snowed all day. The kids enjoyed another day off from school.

 

After the fun in the snow we enjoyed family time inside...while the twins napped I made the boys a home cooked lunch-pork chops, green beans, mac and cheese, homemade drop biscuits, and chocolate covered strawberries--yummy!
