Today the kids had an ice day so I spent sometime catching up on my blog. I love my blog, I have printed out each year to have for the kids as a memory book. Today when I opened my blog I could not believe that it has been almost a month since I have posted anything. I am constantly thinking I need to sit down and write something but every time I sit down life happens. Today I tried to catch up, there are a lot of new blog posts! First a quick update on life with the family
Right now I feel like I spend most of my time on the computer researching colleges! AHHH! I can't even believe I am typing that! I spend so much time researching scholarships, colleges, act, sat, etc...We have been setting up college tours. It is very overwhelming! Not to mention we are disagreeing on where he wants to go. I like the North Carolina colleges, he wants warm weather. He is my son so I can't blame him!
When I am not focused on Caleb and college I have been looking into preschools for the twins. I would really like for the twins to attend preschool but need to make sure Matthew is ready. All the big boys loved their preschools. I know Abby would really enjoy it too. Matthew not so much, right now we are focused on working with his speech and project enlightment. I hope to have him attend Sunday School without throwing a complete fit by the end of spring! At least I know we still have two more years before they head off to kindergarten. Yep, I will be that parent who has a sophomore in college and two in kindergarten!! Oh boy!
The other three have been staying busy too. Abby's favorite words right now are "Mom watch this". And she jumps, or twirls, or puts her hands on hips. She just wants all eyes on her! If she is not showing me something she wants to do crafts and work on her letters!
Joshua and I went to his high school open house. He is very ready to finish middle and go to high school. I am glad that he will get one year in school with Caleb. He also turned 14 last month and has been growing like crazy. I give him a few more months and he will be taller than me.
Luke is staying busy with his soccer and his social life. This kid is always going! We had a family move in across the street with three boys, one is Luke's age. He spent all afternoon with them on Sunday. It is great, I could step outside and hear the laughter of the boys in the backyard. When he is not playing soccer, going to school, or hanging out with his friends he is playing basketball. It has been so much fun watching him in another sport. He is playing with his soccer buddies and loves it!
Eric and I are trying to keep up with the kids, Eric's work, and Eric's spring coaching schedule. We did sneak out for dinner on Friday night when soccer was cancelled. We ordered pizza for dinner then he casually mentioned that we could run around to Chili's and grab a bite to eat. I ran in the room and changed. I was going before a work call came up or the twins noticed we were gone!! 5:00 on a Friday afternoon and we are out to dinner-I will take it!! We were home by 6:30 to get the little ones ready for bed. The exciting life with 5 kids!
