End of the year awards-Joshua

It is so hard to believe that Joshua has already completed 2 years of middle school. Only one more year of middle school, I need for him to slow down some!

At the end of the year Joshua's school has a special end of the year awards ceremony. The teachers will send an email to the parents if their child is receiving an award. Joshua knew I was invited to come but had no idea which award he was receiving. It was so awesome to watch his face when he received his awards. He had no idea he was going to receive 6 of them!
This year Joshua received awards for All A's, Spanish, Computer, and Language Arts. He also received awards for his participation in the Carson Scholarship, Duke Tip Program, PE Pals, and 40 Book Challenge.

When we talked about each of these awards I told him my favorite was PE Pals. This is a program Joshua was selected for, each week he goes to a special PE class where he helps other kids learn sports. He will push them in their wheelchairs up and down the basketball court or whichever sport they are playing. He also was able to attend the special Olympics with his pals in the fall and spring. What a great experience and I love to see how he lights up talking about his experiences.

A few more pictures from the day...
These two have every class together!
Joshua with one of his oldest friends,
