What has been going on... I started to follow a new group on Facebook called Grown to Flown. For those who have kids ready to head off to college or in high school this is a great site. Well most of the time. I was just telling a sweet friend I need to stop following this page, half the time I am in tears reading the articles. Kids heading off to college, senior year to do list, sports travel family, blah, blah, blah... I need another box of tissues. I have been a mess! I am not handling Caleb signing up for all his senior year classes much less all these college tours. We are not even finished with junior year yet, I am not sure how I will handle senior year! I know he wants to attend school in Florida (I can't blame him--hello sunshine and the beach!) but the thought of being so far away. Then I look at the twins. Oh my! They are so attached to their big brother. Ok I need to stop right there...This is Happy Mother's Day! I will wait to bring up that subject later.
What else... The twins are staying as busy as always. I thought having two babies or toddlers was hard-no way. This three year old stage is tough! They gave up naps-enough said! They want a lot of attention. They like to stay busy. They like their quiet playtime just never at the same time. Matthew is still very attached and if he needs any help Mom is going to do it. Bathroom run, mom will help me, bath time-mom will do it, tuck me in, I want mom. It is tiring but I know all too well that these days go by too quickly and they will be picking out colleges 10 hours away so I am going to enjoy every minute of it!! (Tears again).
We are also getting ready to say goodbye to our amazing elementary school. Luke has a few more weeks then we will officially be out of the elementary stage (for two years until the twins start but they will be off to another school :( I am going to miss these amazing teachers!! We have been so lucky to have all the boys attend the same school and have many of the same teachers!
It is amazing how quickly 45 minutes go by.. I have tied shoes, fixed a bow, knocked sand out of a truck, and tried to catch up on the blog. Now we are all going to head off as a family to cheer on Caleb!
Here it is a week later and I am back to finishing my first post. My goal by next week is to be all caught up on all the posts from March, April, and May. I thought about taking a complete break from posting but I decided to keep the blog up for the next year. I really want to write down and treasure every memory before we send our first one off to college.
Awww, with the crazy schedule it was nice to take a break one day at the beach!! |
