Joshua's first trip with Academy

Joshua has been busy with scrimmages with his new team. This year it is different for us, he is playing on the U14 academy team which means he travels on a bus/van to the games. They also do everything with the team- meals, travel, hotel stays. We just show up to cheer him on. Last week he traveled with the team up to DC to play the DC United Academy Team. They had a great time and walked away with a 3-3 tie. Great job boys.

I love how nice the boys look when they travel! I have to admit it was hard to drop him off the first time. I am so thankful I dropped him off with one of our sweet friends who drove the van full of boys up there. I knew he was in good hands. He was really thoughtful and sent me texts to let me know he arrived and who his roommates at the hotel would be. He even told me that one of the roommates made sure all the windows and doors were locked just in case he decided to sleep walk. They were joking but it made this mom feel a little better!

Eric, Caleb, and Luke went up there to cheer him on for his Sunday game but they were staying at a different hotel from the team.

Before the DC game Joshua's team had a scrimmage in Richmond.

While Joshua traveled with the team the big boys went up early for some fun--
